For all you Classic Chevy Truck enthusiast's, I am offering my personal 1956 Panel Delivery truck, 3100 series. It is all white in color, with a mostly white interior, except for a light/medium grey accent on the vinyl 70/30 split bench seat( pass. side portion tilts forward for the rear cargo access). It is powered by a low milage,(under 10,000 mi.) 350 c.i. V-8 crate engine, coupled to a rebuilt 350 automatic transmission. B & M floor mounted shift selects gearing inside. The rear-end is compleatly stock, and I was told by previous owner, was rebuilt, but not sure what the ratio is. It still does have the original drum brakes, and like all of these older systems, works well but requires the typical hard pressure on the pedal. This truck would be better set up with a front power disc brake application, and would be very easy to adapt. The engine runs great, is very responsive, equipped with an Edelbrock 4 brl. carburator( most likely a 600 cfm.), headers, and aftermarket billet aluminum pullys. Electronic ignition with recent tune up, ( plugs, high temp wires, dist. cap, etc.). Truck has been maintained and taken well care of over the years. The interior is very clean, mostly original, all chrome (speedometer bezel, handles, steering wheel, etc.) look new, and are original. The gas gauge is currently in-operative, but I am including a new stainless steel gas sending unit/float assembly, that needs to be installed. Glass is all good, except for a few minor wiper arm scratches on the windshield, but not too noticeable, and does not affect viewing area. Also equipped with original GUIDE traffic light viewer, dash mounted, for seeing under the chrome mounted windshield visor. Includes a Sony, AM-FM Cassette, with a remote Sony 10 CD changer (CDX-52), Alpine 2 channel power amplifier (MRP-T306), and three large remote rear speakers. I have only used the stereo, not the CD player, or amplifier, but was told all work fine. The rear cargo floor is excellent, all original wood, with the steel ribs. The interior is very clean, and has never been abused, or modified in any way. Original headliner, etc. This truck was located for all it's years in northern Nevada (Ely), and was brought out here to Florida around 2004, I purchased it in 2006, and have driven and maintained it ever since. I was told by previous owners that it originally had the straight 6 cyl., with 3-speed manual transmission. The 350/350 engine-trans combo. were installed by the previous owner. The exterior of the truck is very straight, has never been involved in any accidents that I know of,( checked with last two owners), but has a few minor areas along bottom of the exterior sides, that has a little rust forming, but is not bad at all. All the exterior chrome is original (bumpers, headlight bezels, handles, hood moulding, etc.), and is excellent, except for the (4) rear door hinges, in which the chrome is showing some wear, and could use a replating. The front grille is original, (was also recently located in Nev.) is excellent, and has been stripped and finished in a medium grey that matches the interior seat colors. This grille would look very nice chromed to accent front end, but I decided to wait. The top has a luggage rack installed, probably is not original, but still looks good, and could carry a couple of surf boards without any problem. The fairly new rubber is Grand Am radial GT's with 255/60 R15 rear, and 225/70 R 15 up front. Wheels are alum. Eagle alloy's. No spare included, but am presently trying to locate one. This truck is all in all, in very good condition, is very clean, mostly original, and draws a great deal of attention everywhere I go, as these panel trucks are not too common anymore. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to email. I am listing this truck with a low reserve, far lower than what it's book value is. I would not be selling it, but am relocating out of state, and I have other classic chevys that I've decided to keep, if possible. I do prefer PayPal for the deposit, but will accept any other certified funding, including certified cashiers check, bank wire transfer, or cash, if buyer prefers. Buyer is responsible for pick up, or any other transport costs involved for removal. Deposit to be paid within 48 hours of auction end, and total balance should be paid within 10 days of auction end. This vehicle cannot be transfered or picked up by the new owner until all certified funds have been cleared. I have a clear Florida title, and will include a bill of sale. Even though this vehicle is in excellent condition, it is still is over 50 years old, and is being sold as is, where is, with no warrenty, either written or implied. Thank you for your time and interest in this great classic chevy,...BillOn Sep-04-08 at 19:02:31 PDT, seller added the following information:
